Fresh Start: A Total Home Transformation for a New Arrival

Relocating to a new town is stressful enough without having to worry about the state of your new home. We recently had the privilege of taking a neglected property and turning it into a move-in-ready sanctuary for a family moving into the area. This wasn't just a facelift; it was a top-to-bottom overhaul.

Erasing Years of Neglect

The house had seen better days. We started by tackling the ceilings, where the old texture was literally falling off. After a full retexture and countless drywall patches to fix years of wear and tear, we applied fresh primer and paint throughout. It’s amazing how much a crisp, clean coat of paint can change the energy of a home.

The Major Upgrades:
  • Modern Flooring: We installed durable LVP (Luxury Vinyl Plank) in the kitchen and bathrooms for a sleek, water-resistant finish, while adding plush new carpet in the bedrooms for maximum coziness.

  • Bathroom Bliss: We didn't stop at the surface. We installed a new bathtub, modern vanities, and high-end glass shower doors to give the bathrooms a spa-like feel.

  • The Kitchen Refresh: To keep the project on budget without sacrificing style, we professionally painted the kitchen cabinets and installed new countertops, completely modernizing the heart of the home.

  • Consistency is Key: We replaced every single door throughout the house, providing a cohesive, high-quality feel that the original home was missing.

Moving is a big chapter in any family's life, and we are so happy we could make their transition a little smoother by delivering a home that feels brand new. Welcome to the neighborhood!

What started as a leaky washer box, ended up being a series of renovations done that just kept them asking for more! Before we finished this home, we had renovated a laundry room with moldy walls, 2 new bathrooms with 2 custom tubs and 1 shower, and a whole new kitchen remodel with custom cabinets, countertops, and backsplash to go with! This home is extraordinary!

We love a good challenge, and this recent bathroom renovation project in Ironton, OH definitely provided some! What started as a seemingly simple remodel ended up being a complete gut.

Our first step was addressing the mold and water damage. We carefully removed all compromised materials and treated the affected areas to ensure a safe and healthy environment. Then came the extensive plumbing work. We replaced all old and damaged pipes, ensuring everything was up to code and functioning perfectly.

Next, we focused on the structural integrity of the bathroom. This involved installing new drywall, giving us a fresh, clean canvas for our design. We then carefully selected and installed a new tub, creating a luxurious and functional centerpiece for the space.

Of course, no bathroom is complete without stunning tile work. We chose a beautiful and durable tile for both the shower surround and the floor, creating a cohesive and sophisticated look. Our attention to detail was paramount, ensuring every tile was perfectly placed and grouted.

To enhance comfort and functionality, we also added a combined bathroom vent and heater. This energy-efficient unit provides essential ventilation and warmth, ensuring a comfortable experience year-round.

Throughout this project, we encountered several unexpected obstacles. However, our experienced team worked diligently to find effective solutions, proving that with determination and expertise, even the most challenging renovations can be a success.

We're incredibly proud of the transformation we achieved. This bathroom is now a functional, stylish, and inviting space that the homeowners can enjoy for years to come

When a local church calls and asks you to go work on some flood victim homes, you go! Although this isn't all we done in our time there, this was from our latest trip! Board and batton vinyl siding and some metal trim to tidy up this front and back porch!

We got a call to inspect and renovate an apartment, and based upon our findings determined if the tenants would receive their security deposit back. Once we arrived, we noted any issue that would need repair with blue masking tape so that the landlords could easily locate the damage. Most issues were minor but there were quite a few bigger issues that needed to be addressed such as some larger holes in the walls, what looks like a paint patch with a different color paint, and general wear and tear. Once the landlords did their thing, we got to work doing ours - making it look brand new! Drywall repair and new paint will do a lot to freshen up a space!

This tenant said to me, "17 years ago when I moved in here, the owner at the time gave me paint and brushes to paint this place. I never did it."  So by his words, this apartment hadn't been painted in over 17 years. Oil based primer was a MUST in some rooms. New flooring, new receptacles, new light fixtures, and lots of paint and she's back to life!

From "Ghosted" to Grand Opening: Saving the Cabin

There’s nothing worse than a contractor leaving a project half-finished, but we were thrilled to step in and turn this "abandoned" cabin interior into a rustic masterpiece. After the previous crew left the owners hanging, we rolled up our sleeves to bring the vision across the finish line.

The Highlights:
  • Rough-Cut Cedar Walls: We clad the interior in beautiful, aromatic rough-cut cedar. It instantly gave the space that authentic, "deep-in-the-woods" soul the homeowners were craving.

  • The Bathroom Rescue: We jumped into the trenches to wrap up the unfinished plumbing, ensuring everything was leak-free and functional. To top it off, we installed a sleek glass shower door to keep the small space feeling open and modern.

  • The "Magic" Barn Door: Our favorite feature? A custom-built floating barn door. We engineered it with no visible hardware, giving it a clean, gravity-defying look that acts as a functional piece of art.

Renovations always have their hurdles—especially when you're cleaning up someone else’s mess—but seeing this cabin go from a construction zone to a cozy retreat made every hour worth it.
